The touch guard can be used to safely protect the sensitive probe head of a hot-wire probe when the probe is not in operation. The protection is made of PA plastic. To apply the protection, the probe is simply inserted into the slot and locked with the built-in twist lock. Finally, the probe must be pulled into the final position.

The protection is available in two versions. For probes type HWP10/90 and HWP10/45, the narrow version HWP-ProS can be used. For the other probes, the larger version HWP-ProM is required (also compatible with HWP10/90 and HWP10/45).
